A story about Al Pacino
I was working as a PA on a film for a day. It was the last day of shooting and there were three company moves ( it’s really crazy when that happens.) When we got to the final location, I was sent to a lock up inside the Lobby at the New York Times. I stood next to the door which had a huge light, and all the cables necessary to power it. Al Pacino came into the lobby, he was talking with the Assistant Director, who then turned to me and said, “You are going to give Al his cue.”
So we go to shoot the scene, the director calls action over the radio, I tell Al “Action” and he trips over a cable, I catch him and stand him back up (he’s really quite shorter than I am) and goes out the door. After the take is cut, he comes back and thanks me and shakes my hand.
That’s it.
